Quick answers
Will checking my options affect my credit score?
No. Filling in the form is an enquiry, not a credit application, so it does not leave a mark on your credit file. A credit check only happens later, with your say-so, if you decide to go ahead with a lender.
Can I get a business loan in NZ with bad credit?
Often, yes. With a property-backed loan, the equity in your property matters far more than your credit history, so defaults, arrears and IRD debt are considered case by case. Unsecured options can also consider weaker credit if your cash flow is healthy.
What does no doc actually mean?
No doc means you do not need to supply financial statements, tax returns or cash-flow records. It applies to our property-backed loans, where the security does the heavy lifting. You still need ID, property details and a clear plan for repaying the loan.
How much can I borrow?
Property-backed business loans range from NZ$20,000 to NZ$1 million, depending on your equity, the purpose and your exit plan. Unsecured loan sizes are based on your turnover and cash flow, so the amount varies from business to business.
How fast can I get the money?
Property-backed loans can fund in as little as 24 hours after approval, depending on documents and legal work. Unsecured low doc loans are often decided within a day or two, and sometimes on the same day.
Do I need to own property?
No. If you own property you can use the no doc route, which suits larger amounts and bumpy credit. If you do not, the low doc unsecured route works off your business bank statements, usually once you have been trading for at least six months.
